In the early nineties of the last century, I worked in the Spiritual Court for about three years. Then I submitted my resignation, never to return. Once, a dignified lady from another Church came to see the Metropolitan of our Archdiocese, who is loved by all the Christians, or rather, by all our people, in our country. She passed through the court, at first. She was carrying with her four handwritten confessions of women, each of who admitted that, in the court to which she had filed her complaint, she had been harassed! To this day, whenever I mention the matter or a similar piece of news reminds me of it, I still feel short of breath! My friends know that I have never hated anything in my life as much as I hate exploitation of people, especially the weak. He who exploits the weak, be it a man or a woman, old or young, cannot convince me that he loves God or really believes in His existence. I am not opening flimsy records! No wound is deeper than to seem that we did not all believe the Word of Jesus “You are the light of the world”.
