For every two lovers, this great day is the anticipated day. This is our belief that God, ever since He created Adam and Eve, had decreed that He is the One Who creates the life of every Adam and Eve, the man from the dust, and the woman, for the perpetuation of the wedding (John 19:34), from his side (Genesis 2:21-24). You know the story of Adam and Eve. The story is eloquent in shedding light upon the fact that each one of this “first couple” had no one but the other, in any circumstance and in any condition. They were together in Paradise, together outside of it, together in their yearning for the reclaiming of “a place devoid of darkness”, and together in the hands of the Christ Who is risen from the grave. Pay attention to the union of the gift and the will in this togetherness. God has given us to seek Him, together. If I could give you anything as a gift for this wedding, it would be for you to always remember that God is with you every day, just as He is with you on this day. God is always the God of the present, the Creator of the new things right now. Open your hands. The time of gifts has begun for you.
