The Weapon of Truth

When I write you a text in the form of a question and an answer, I generally refer to one of the older brethren I have come to know during the course of my commitment. The communion of life in the Church convinced me that the knowledge of God is preserved by being passed on from one person to another. This is a new example of what I hope will be passed on. I asked him: “What is the weapon that helps us to cut off the head of the heresy (the foreign teachings)?” He answered me: “To observe two things, the faith which was completely delivered to the saints (Jude 3), and then the good works, which presuppose that we share everything with the needy (Hebrews 13:16). He said this before adding: "Watch out! The head of the heresy is not cut off by adopting one thing without the other. This is the one weapon of Truth, the one weapon!
