Oh God, help us! How do we discover that we are living in a world that you created beautiful, for our good and our peace? This is our responsibility on earth. Is there any meaning to a world in which Man is resigning from every service that benefits us, from people to inanimate beings? Is there any meaning to our eyes, which are confined to our own things, to our own details? We want to see You. Grant us to see You. Grant us to love You in the details of this world in which “all things were made through You”. The good is obvious. However, in love, we are able to contribute to goodness engulfing every weakness and ugliness left behind by our sins. Open our hearts so that we may see You in all people, especially in the poor, in the hungry and the suffering, and in those whose life and death, for us, are alike! Open the hearts of the rich people of this age. Teach them that You do not dwell except in the hearts that are distributed. Oh God, in this world, grant us to be amazed. This is a supplication we lift up to You for Your generosity and compassion. Be with us.
