If you crucify people for sins that they had actually committed or that you assume they had done, expect that you will face one of two dangers: that you will do injustice to those you crucified, or that your ability to notice your personal mistakes will be diminished. If you have room for a piece of advice, strive to grow in two things: in increasing your awareness that we are given to see the others’ mistakes in order to help in rectifying them, if possible; and in increasing the understanding that people cannot be reduced to their mistakes. This enables you to see the beauty that was difficult for you to see, and to serve righteousness the way it was prescribed by God when He said: I do not will the death of the ungodly man. So the ungodly man should turn from his way and live (Ezekiel 33:11).
