Peace be upon Palestine

Yesterday, a friend of mine, of Palestinian descent, who lives in Mount Lebanon, called me and started telling me what she has learned from her communication with her family and relatives, in Palestine, in the last two days. She said: “The Israelis have unleashed their insane hatred on the people in our country”. She did not speak exclusively about Gaza and its siege, but rather about the natural spread of hatred to the cities and villages of the West Bank. She said: “People are avoiding leaving their homes. Threats are reaching them, morning and evening. The madness has been unleashed”. I know that these words, like the words of yesterday (Palestine is ours), which are not echoing what is universally accepted, will be suppressed by the Facebook Administration. You are in the world; and in order to live in it, you must see with their eyes, hear with their ears, and speak what they put in your mouth. This is a prepackaged world in which there is only one language for the things it wants. It is a world that treats the oppressor fairly, and condemns the oppressed. Peace be upon Palestine and its people who deserve all the love.
