Meeting with Friends

A while ago, my friend Laith Hanna asked me to suggest a picture for a post I wrote for you. I was surprised by his request. This is so unlike him. The man is a creative artist who does not need help with his work, which includes synthesizing the word and the image on this page. However, I complied with his request. I relayed his request to the Google app. I wrote on the search engine a phrase that summarizes the content of the text that we will publish: “Meeting with Friends”. I received many pictures, including this one in which Christ is seen trampling down death, His own as well as Adam and Eve’s death. When I entered the website that posted the picture, I found a program of Paschal prayers posted by one of our parishes in the West. I was delighted with this artificial intelligence that saw, in a prayer meeting, a meeting of the Living Christ with His friends. This is a sight worth taking into our life. To see Christ, in any context that brings us together with our friends, that He brings us all back to life from our death, is a good view about friendship.
