When Jesus said to Judas on the night of his betrayal: "Friend, why have you come?" (Matthew 26:50), He revealed that the one who is constant in the relations between us and Him is He Himself! Luke, in listing the disciples, said: “and Judas who also became a traitor” (6:16). People reverse themselves. How does Jesus remain capable of friendship in times when we do not show that we deserve anything? A shocking thing, really! However, it is more to be desired than honey. I have not concealed from you, in previous lines, my belief that our reversal, in our relationship with Jesus, does not refer to a friendship that we had accepted and then retracted, but that we have been deceitful from the very beginning with our showing a love that we do not really feel. Jesus, this desirable God, is, alone, a perfect love story. Yes, alone!
