It is the title of a documentary, filmed in 2014, that tells the story of ten children from Gaza who, like all their peers, are humiliated by Israel. Mohamed, Udai, Mahmud, Sondos, Rajaf, Malak, Hamada, Montasem, Bisan, Haia. They are all shedding tears and blood. They have all been broken by death… The film, to its viewer, is a “possible journey” to Gaza, to its children’s daily chronicles, their brokenness and their stolen dreams, to their homes, both existing and destroyed, to its streets and its undying sea… The film is about children speaking with innocent spontaneity, and tears that invite you to participate in them. What is most eloquent about it is that it is free from its history. A broken and besieged people… this is its history. Those who want you to be fair in approaching Israel’s attacks on Gaza today are told by the creators of the film that Gaza is a victim of crime that was born with the aggressor! How do you uphold a people who has the same right to life as you do? This is the film's question to a world that mostly sees with one eye!
