A Lasting Grant

Ever since I arrived here, I have been observing everything that happens in our house. Life goes by quickly. About three years have passed since my son and his family traveled. I have missed many details, especially those related to the children. The two elder have grown in beauty and intelligence, and also in mischief, while the little one observes, like me, everything she sees, for the sake of exploration and delight. I have been very often saddened by this idea that many things, related to me, are passing by far away without my enjoying them. I am not saying: I silently observe what is happening. I have interfered several times, in some of what was revealed to me. I spoke to the two children, the boy and his sister, once and twice, about things that I had a standpoint on with them, and I entered into conversations with my son and his wife that have enriched me. My children have become my support. The two eldest, my two eldest sons, know today, like any father, that not only are we raising our children, but they are raising us as well. Will this visit, that soothed some longings, kindle others? May we together, be granted a lasting encounter.
