The feast passed by some brethren of ours without their taking notice! A salvific event is taking place for our sakes. By adhering to it in the communion of the Church, I am declaring that I am grateful to God for bestowing His love on me. It is not true that the feast is a crowd gathering. Those who meet during the feast, as individuals, are formed into a community that belongs to God. This means that it is a feast for every person who has accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. Christ, being the Savior of the world means that He is the Savior of every human being in the world. A few days ago, I told some friends that “the prayers of Holy Week, in their details, insist that we see Christ as the goal of history. This is supposed to mean that He is the goal of my own personal history”. The feast is for each of us to say that Christ died and rose for me, for my own sake. I am writing about the feast after the feast. I adhere to the firm belief of my Church that if the feast passes, it remains. The Living Christ remains here. His salvific deeds do not change. He will pass to us through the doors, which we have closed on ourselves, to say to each one of us: “Come to Me. I am yours. You are My beloved”. Christ is risen!
