A Cure of Gold

One of the presidents of Lebanon used to say that there are two gratuitous cures that benefit life, and that are neglected by most Lebanese: drinking water and walking. These are two among other cures that we can add to them. For instance, prayer, friendship and reading... Let's take reading today. Reading a book, especially if its topic appeals to us, helps us overcome wearisome illnesses, like boredom, tension, insipidity and “voicelessness”…, it even gives us a new birth. Many examples can be given of this. See, for instance, the biography of Dr. Benjamin Carson, or watch the movie "Gifted Hands" about him: Carson’s mother gave him birth twice! The second birth was when she made him read two books per week. Reading transformed him from someone who considered himself weak into a world-class brain surgeon with great achievements. Take these medicines in your spare time. These make life of gold.
