To the Brethren in the Charismatic Renewal Movement

Along the course of my commitment, I had been seized by many polemics pertaining to your movement. The fate of the “teaching”, within groups of different churches, used to make my head spin. I was late in perceiving that the Spirit of God can always initiate in us the Word which “would gather together in one those who were scattered abroad”. Furthermore, I was led to appreciate your awareness by some friends from among you whose love for Jesus is a story to be told. A while ago, I told a friend from our Church who is with you: “we the Orthodox, here and there, are lagging behind in the fraternal openness to the other Christians. So far, the Orthodox among you are, in this, compensating for our lagging behind”. Today, I like to say that my joy is great that, in your taintless path, you have discovered that the rooting of every one of you in his own church had made clear to you that, in love, you are right.
