Tomorrow, His Eminence Metropolitan Silouan Moussi will ordain you as a deacon in our beautiful church in "Downtown Bhamdoun". Oh the joy of your father and mother! It is not my place to advise you with words, for you were raised on more eloquent ones in a household from which many among us seek guidance and wisdom, tranquility and joy. I do not believe your ordination tomorrow was on a spur-of-the-moment decision. Tomorrow, all the brethren in the Orthodox Youth Movement will meet together at our center. You will then walk among them into your new ministry. This is the vision that has given birth to us all. We come from this blessed Movement whose paramount goal is to dedicate ourselves to serving our Church above all else. Did the Master of the Mount intend to appoint you as a deacon in the bosom of the community that has birthed you so that you may repay a debt that you owe to it? We are all indebted to this Movement the like of which does not exist. I do not know if our lives are enough to repay the debt. But I know that those who are raised with honor, like you, do not ignore a debt. May God be with you in this new ministry.
