To Live a Paschal Life

The question whose answer has established the order of the Liturgy of the Paschal period is: “how to live a Paschal life?”. We concluded the Great Lent, in which we adamantly sought God, His mercy and His victory. What is left after we have reached the feast? In addition to the gifts of the fast, three things are made manifest by the Paschal Sundays, of which every Sunday sets the tone for all the other days of the week. The first thing was manifested in Thomas Sunday, in which Jesus appeared to His disciples twice on the Eucharistic day, the day of communal worship, namely Sunday. The second was revealed by the Sunday of the Myrrh-Bearing Women which confirmed the ground of serving the Body of Christ, that is the Church and the poor of the earth at the same time. The third one, predominating the remaining three Sundays, that is the Sundays of the Paralytic, the Samaritan Woman and the Blind Man, is that of the ministry of the Word on earth. To live a Paschal life is to commit ourselves to the communal worship, the service and the spreading of the Word. This is God’s plan for our salvation.
