Their Father's House

In our country, participation in the construction of places of worship means a lot to most people. For instance, many people, from different denominations and religions, have contributed to the construction of the new church in our parish. It speaks of the eloquence of this generous country that its people insist on being one with you in what they know is bringing you joy (or sorrow), in what they believe is the foundation of your new life. I leave the names of the donors to God, Who does reward. What matters to me now is to reiterate to you some of the principles that the committee wanted to govern the use of the church after its completion. They said, for instance, that since the church was built by everyone with money, effort, and heartfelt devotion to God, then all the faithful, poor and rich alike, have the right to celebrate their joys and sorrows in it. It is the house of "their Father in heaven". They said that God is watching over the Church in which His love is proclaimed. Churches are not just to be built, but to always maintain that “God is love”.
