The Trade of Votes

In the parliamentary elections in Lebanon, we can do anything! Today I will dedicate my lines to the evil of the "trade of votes". Why are there people, in the elections, who accept to sell their vote? Is it poverty? Is it greed? Is it being clever with people whom we know are using us? Then why is it that there are some candidates who accept to buy people with money? Do they sympathize with the poor on a special national occasion? Is it that the love of glory is superior to the love of money? Is it in order to ensure their access to the "throne"? Or is it that, for them, the deputyship is mere business, something that allows us to await their ingenuity in investing everything? O Lebanese, if you accept to live without anything, without your money and medicines, and without electricity and water... If you accept to live with the pictures of your children who were forced to emigrate, do not accept to gift your morrow with the pains of your present. Arise to save your homeland!
