Some young friends invited me to meet with them. They wanted us to discuss the impact of the economic crisis and disease on the ecclesial commitment of people in our country. We met. We agreed on several matters, the most important of which was to be active in two things: in the love of commitment and in the call. One of them told us: "it is no use crying over the ruins". Are we heading towards a stringent commitment? We have no part in the actuality of service if we do not give our hearts to the Lord freely. Another told us: “the Church is greater than we are as scattered individuals. To give her our life, to see her alone as our future, we receive before we give. There is nothing richer than to walk in the footsteps of the Saints, who were a light in times of darkness, and peace in times of chaos”. In the midst of crises, we often get caught up in negativity. My meeting with these young people was a lesson to me that God is with us and wants us to follow Him in seeing the good and in doing good.
