The Rain of Great and Holy Friday

Nothing matters to some Christians in our country, from this or that Church, more than that it rains on Great and Holy Friday. What shall I tell you of their happiness, if it rains on their Friday? If it rains, they fill the world with joy and noise, they even seize God by considering that there is no one like them! There are Christians who idolize the folk traditions they had inherited. They all know that there is nothing in their books saying that heaven must express its sorrow (must cry) on this great day. If there is a rightful sorrow in it, it is on ourselves (Luke 23:28)! Why do you think I am writing about this day after it has passed? Yesterday, an acquaintance of mine stopped me, and asked me to explain to him the wrath of this year. I said: “what wrath?”. He said: “it did not rain on Great and Holy Friday”! May God grant us to ascend to what matters to Him, to Him alone!
