The Purpose of Grace

Do not mock the weakness of a human being. Think about your own weaknesses; these are well known to you. Any weakness in any other human being, you may judge it rightly, and you may misjudge it. Always remind yourself that no one knows the weaknesses of others before the intervention of the Grace. This should mean to you that, in intervening, Grace has a purpose. What is the purpose of Grace in exposing the weakness of a human being? “To bear with the weaknesses” (Romans 15:1), that is, to encourage the weak person and help him get stronger. This does not merely grant us to do good to one person or to many about whom the Grace has revealed something to us, but also to always be worthy of its interventions. Open your heart. The Grace that is accepted gifts us with this renewed awareness that we exist for the sake of a better human being. Blessed are you by this gift, and blessed are we because of you!
