Can Lebanon, which is attending to the affairs of the parliamentary elections and their internal and external conflicts, receive a stronger blow than the postponement of the visit of His Holiness the Pope of Rome, which was scheduled for next June? The visit, which was postponed for "health reasons", was an explicit message to the world, near and far, that Lebanon is a country for life, for joy and peace. Will God grant us a speedy recovery for this venerable elder who considers Lebanon to be a “peace project”, “a land of tolerance and pluralism", and an “oasis of brotherhood” … (July 1, 2021)? Will He grant us to deserve his visit again? We need his face among us, his love, his humility, his prayers and his insistence that this world be more merciful and humane. Let us all rise up and pray, whatever our religion or denomination, for God to grant us to see the Pope of Rome on our land. This is a prayer for him as well as for us.
