The Peephole

Last night, I took the advice of one of my friends to watch an old movie that he told me about. In one scene, there was knocking on the door of a married couple who were engrossed in a private conversation. The husband got up, and opened the door. He never looked through the peephole beforehand (or the magic eye, as it is called by Abdel-Bari Atwan). The door has no peephole. How far are the days of old. Today, everything is different. Most of us have surrounded ourselves with a variety of locks, from the building entrance to the balconies of the house.I am not criticizing that a person takes care of his security and safety, or that he makes arrangements to secure his visits (for example, that he agrees with his visitor on the time of the visit). I mourn the times when human relationships were much simpler!
