The Paschal Greeting

What does a man, who has not entered the Church once after his baptism, mean when he tells you with remarkable enthusiasm: “Christ is risen!”? Christ is indeed risen. However, is the issue of His resurrection verbal, that is, formal? You do understand. Christians, when they greet one another with the tidings of Pascha, are not replacing one greeting by another. I am not defaming anyone, I am not condemning, I am not putting barriers on people's mouths, but rather, I am screaming with pain! There are brethren among us who lack someone to guide them to the fact that everything about Christianity emanates from the communion of life with God. You also do know, most or all of you, that the four Evangelists unanimously agree that the tidings of Christ's resurrection were given forth by the angels from the empty tomb. When will we all be ready to associate ourselves with the One in Whose resurrection He bestowed upon us to participate in the parlance of heaven and the life of heaven? Truly He is risen!
