Today I chose to walk in front of the Presidential Palace in Baabda, Mount Lebanon. The palace imposes its beauty and dignity on the road. The trees separating it from the road seem to the onlooker to be an enclosure to it and a pleasure to the passers-by or to its neighbors. The sun was my companion all along the way. In the shadow of the sun, the light is missed! When will the darkness pass by Lebanon? When will a new president for “the palace” be elected? How long will we remain, internally, powerless or waiting for a "password" from somewhere? I prayed for our country in which everything says that it is impossible for it to mature without a miracle! Then I prayed for my two friends Imad Gholmieh and Chucri Makary who had left the palace road to what is more beautiful, to heaven. Nothing like prayer and friendship empowers us to get through Lebanon's monotonous plays!
