I met with a few university brethren, young men and women. Our meeting was to keep up with a commitment that was starting to take hold of them, concerning the regeneration life in their Church. I had prepared myself to tell them that our meetings are a bridge that is placed, for us to cross to a personal relationship with the Lord in the communion of the Church. The regeneration life is not a relationship with human beings… despite the importance of this relationship, but rather, that we join Jesus as a personal God to each one of us, or, in other words, that we come from Him to one another. The bridge that is set up, that leads us to Jesus, to the end, is designed to bring us back to each other. This enriches every experience that had called our attention to our commitment, such as, for instance, the life of communion and corporate prayer, deepening the knowledge of the Word, serving in love and witnessing… This is the mystery of regeneration, both our individual and collective regeneration. We are here to serve this mystery with those who are with us and those with whom we associate in the world. No ministry is greater than this ministry deserving that we lay down our lives, our entire lives, for its sake.
