The Mind of God

Nowadays, it is easy for most people to antagonize others simply because they disagree with them on something, on anything. It is not a normal thing for us to believe that we are capable of being one in everything. Paul's word: "Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing... but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment" (1 Corinthians 1:10), is an exhortation to sustained awareness that perfect unity consists in exalting the "mind of Christ". We all have our words, thoughts and opinions. This is a life enriching diversity, if guided by our belief that unity is a gift and a pursuit. In invoking Christ's name and mind, did Paul mean to talk about love? I think we break away from the whole Gospel, if we fail to establish our life on the fact that Christ died for the love of us, to gather us, and make us one. This is the mind of God!
