From time to time, I get a call from one of the brethren, asking to book the church for a wedding or a baptismal service... The question, which most callers ask before booking, about the financial cost of the service, indicates that in most churches, our churches and others, we are thinking with human logic! I am not opposing logic. Like you, I know that Churches today, like all of our homes, cannot open their doors without a high cost. Nevertheless, I will give some advice to the faithful brethren. Book any church you want. Do not pay in advance any penny that may be asked of you. Complete your service, and go out as you have entered. No one will dare sue you. However, always remind yourselves, in season and out of season, that you are the people of the household. The greatest thing you can do in this life is to contribute to the opening of your Church to you and to others. Our Churches do not live if we do not live for them, all of us for them.
