The Identity of Gaza

A few days ago, I was struck by the phrase “white phosphorus bombs” that Israel is using in its aggression on Gaza (and Southern Lebanon). I looked up the meaning of the phrase. I found out two things: that the use of this chemical munition, which was used in many wars, including the First and Second World Wars, is prohibited by international laws. Moreover, it is one of the munitions, the flammability of which increases in the air to the extent that it becomes difficult to extinguish it. What does this mean in the aggression against Gaza? Also two things: that Israel does not give a hoot about the laws of countries most of which are in bed with it; then that, as its transgressions reveal, it is living in an illusion that it will define a new identity for Gaza! Will the sleeping countries remain asleep in the face of the massacres in Gaza? We have started hearing, here and there, some voices condemning the aggression against it. However, whatever is the stance of the countries of the world, the identity of Gaza will be determined by no one other than Gaza (itself). “The night is passing, and so is the occupation, inevitably”!
