For every flaw we insist on, there is a concept which we attribute to God! The flaw that I would like to slap publicly before you today is the belief that some of us hold that God is always obligated to give us what we ask Him for. Does God only exist to serve what makes me happy? I believe that God wants us all to be happy. However, the path to this happiness is difficult, or even impossible, without complete faith that He knows more than we do what really makes us happy, that is, the path to it is to surrender our lives to Him. Do we keep in mind that God is not the god of false prosperity? He is the God of Truth. Those who seek after perfection on this earth know that prosperity is not a sure sign of God’s favor. Sometimes the opposite may be true (2 Timothy 3:12)! I promise you nothing. What I am saying is: “let this mind be in us which was also in Christ Jesus”. This is the basis of the proper life.
