The Faculty of the Book

Since its launch, the management of the page has arranged for me to be one of its administrators. This has given me, if I wanted, to follow the movement of those who are taking an interest in it. I noticed that, from time to time, there are friends who stroll over this page, leaving behind marks that make them look as if they were reading a book. Facebook is a platform for sharing photos. This was the main motive behind its invention. However, those who had invented it could not exclude that it was a kind of book. This is evident in its name: “Kitab al-Wajeh,” or “Book of Faces,” as my friend Father George Massouh used to call it. In the times of “social media” and its well-known wars, even on its own ground, I am amazed at the faculty of the book to say with confidence: “I am here!”
