Man comes from a mindset. Should you see him giving in to a parlance brimming with hatred towards the different other and with love for blood..., expect the forest to expand into the city and the village! Those who have known Lebanon before the war, which was falsely named the "Two-Year War", can bear witness to a country coveted/desired by the world, near and far. Its capital, its cities, its mountains, all belonged to all its people regardless of their origins, and to its visitors from across the Arab expanse and the whole world. How have we isolated ourselves, in both hearts and regions? We have become isolated! By and large, we have become reluctant to have anyone from outside our “region” visit us or dwell among us, especially if he is of a different religion. We started rejecting any person coming to us from another country, as well as refusing to accept him among us in our sectarian or political distribution. This is a mindset, a mindset for a country that is not meant to heal from the wounds of its wars. I am not saying that Lebanon's healing is impossible, but rather that, no matter how difficult it may seem, it is always possible, possible if we agree that we are all responsible for it. I will start with the heads. The members of the body will undoubtedly follow.
