The Chanter

I am not a chanter. However, I have associated with numerous chanters from whom I have learned valuable lessons for the ministry, for every ministry. I claim for a fact that I recognize the true chanter. What I am saying now is about good experiences. In the church, we have an eloquent example of integration into collective work, which is collective chanting. You see five people, or ten..., standing in the church, all chanting in harmony. Everyone disappears into the whole. Without revealing their thoughts, you hear each one of them saying: "I am not important. Glorifying the One God is what is most important”. Then you hear them all in their chanting saying to the gathered congregation: "We are here to serve your vigilance and that you may rejoice. We are with you and for you for the sake of a unified prayer that lifts us up". The chanter knows that he has many intercessors in his endeavor, foremost among them are the angels. What he is saying about communion, ministry, and unity is the concern of the angels in heaven. The chanter, in his ministry, is sent from heaven!
