The Committee for the building of Al-Kiama Church comprised three engineers, two journalists, an industrial engineer, and an expert in water treatment and solar energy. They quickly seemed like one. What I find extremely important to point out is their agreement that, in this responsibility, they would do everything for free, meaning none of them would employ himself in any work for the Church. A detail of this agreement was that if any member insisted on something, such as naming a certain engineer or accountant…, and the committee approved that, the financial responsibility would fall on the insisting member. How did they come up with this agreement?! This brought them closer and made them more open to free discussions, and even caused them to experience God’s guiding hand leading them to what is best. I remember that when they agreed on the supervising engineer for the construction, they found him to be one of their own. He not only accepted the job but also did it for free. Those who, in working for the Church, care only for the glory of God, God will reveal to them that they are working with Him.
