Renewed Commitment

I briefly return to the outbreak of the epidemic. It was hard, on more than one level. We did not know what the world knows about it today. If God grants us to live, it is our duty to review what we have done in the light of the Truth. For example, were we hasty in the decision to lock down churches, completely or partially? Was broadcasting the prayer on social media platforms out of concern for the sick and the fearful, or was it a disregard for our liturgical teaching about transcending time and space? Was our fear of disease a cover for concealing our sloth? Have we excelled in the service of love? Is there a word that we will say to the brethren who have continued to live as if there was no communal prayer?... Are you asking: who is concerned with this re-examination? All of us, clergy and laity, to whichever church we belong. The step towards this necessary re-examination is to call ourselves, right now, to a renewed commitment. Only those who repent to the Truth will attain it.
