Pioneers of Life

I am thinking about those who work in Gaza’s hospitals, the doctors, nurses and employees… We, in Lebanon, know the sacrifices that were made by our hospitals during our difficult days, the days of war, the epidemic, and the Beirut port explosion... What are the hospitals in Gaza doing today? We have all been following news of the aggression for over a month. To this day, Israel has targeted 105 health institutions in Gaza, putting some of them out of work! This brutality was accompanied, days ago, by a public call from dozens of medical doctors in Israel to bomb Gaza’s hospitals! They said: “Whoever mixes up hospitals with terrorism has to understand that hospitals are not a safe place for him”! By terrorism, did they mean women and children who took refuge in hospitals to escape the bombing... or who were being treated there? The hospital that shelters its people is not a terrorist, but rather the one who is calling for its bombing. This is a tribute to the pioneers of life in Gaza’s hospitals.
