When I lay my hands on a new issue of "An-Nour Magazine", precious things within me begin to stir. Firstly, I hear once again Metropolitan George Khodr repeating to me the commandment he gave me forty years ago, which is to read "the magazine" in its entirety since its inception in 1945, "along with its news". Then, I am taken back to the days when I was one of the brethren who worked on editing it for about a quarter of a century. Reading the magazine and working on it made me realize me that the regeneration of the Church does not occur through dreams and wishes, but through the partnership of knowledge and service. The magazine does not leave me in the past; rather, reading it urges me to summon people, my own kinsfolk as well as others, to the hope of reading and spreading it. I understand the difficulty of these times when most people no longer read anything. Do you really care about renewing life, individually and collectively, in your churches? This cannot be complete without seeking more and more knowledge. Consider An-Nour magazine your own. This is a commandment I would like to share with you.
