This is a day for all of us, young and old, to declare that we are with Christ, hoping to be accepted as members in His eternal kingdom. Our children with us are our expression that this is our upbringing and our legacy. Everything we carry with us, ourselves and our children, palm fronds and olive branches..., is to reaffirm our determination that we are going forward with Jesus to the end. Our celebration is not for a day or for an hour, but rather it is a revelation of our conviction that we will never betray the One Who came down from heaven to us. You know. Sins wound the entire body. The Great Week ahead of us will reveal to us that the secret of life, that is pleasing to God, is the person of Jesus, Who is worthy of our love, and our lives have no meaning except to be with Him and for Him. This is the secret of the entire forty-day fast. But the coming week, with its day by day arrangement, will reveal to us that the only goal worthy of our life is Jesus, Who loved us unto death. Tell yourself and your children that your journey today is to accept that Christ alone is the King of our lives.
