“I…I…”, her voice reached me from her home defending herself from insulting words. A man was bellowing at her with such mad force that I was outside following up on what was going on as if I were at home with them. I was walking past the building they were in. The sound of the screams kept following me to the end of the neighborhood I was in, and even to the end of the day! The subject of the dispute was clear from the insults that no sane person utters. A husband is preying on his wife! Is there anyone who is ignorant of the fact that there is nothing like violence, physical or verbal… that transforms the abused person into someone else, and even into something else, making him/her vulnerable to every exploitation?! I think not. Violence is the poison of life, the establishment of one’s self on the ruins of the world, the shattering of God’s image in Man. Accept this brotherly advice from me that there is no peace in the world without the awareness that it is a legitimate matter to see life from different angles. Crossing from the jungle to the city, is our salvation way!
