Our Good

No child, in this world, deserves to be grieved over his parents’ quarrels. Outright quarrels kill the soul. I know children for whom the passage of time was not helpful for recovering from this trauma. You all know this; those who insist on quarrelling know it just as the people of peace know it. How loathsome it is to disclaim emotions! Do not justify this anger by saying today to whom you used to say you love: “you have changed”! Do not hurl the reasons behind your anger at others. I am talking to you attentively, calmly, with brotherly love, for your sake and for your children's sake, for the present and for the future. Our children are our responsibility. I am exhorting you. Do not punish your advisors by accusing them of not understanding you. Be well. I wish you nothing but good. May we all keep in mind, indeed all of us, that our good as well as our children’s good lies in our being at peace.
