One Household

I have lived far from carrying weapons. Had it not been for a bullet that a relative of mine, about forty-five years ago, pushed me to fire at a tin hanging from a strap in the air, I would have said that I have never held a weapon in my life. I am not bragging about what many in Lebanon look down upon. This country does not want to rise to the fact that the people in it, regardless of their origins, are one household. I am writing these lines after I finished watching “short films” revealing that we, ourselves, do not want what we have faced in our dirty war to end. I know, just as you do, that Lebanon is an armed country. However, what I thought we had repented of, that is, fighting one another, still lives on in sick chests! Who insists on keeping Lebanon a country for death? Which Nero is seeking to keep his family as fuel for his madness? May God protect Lebanon from those who do not want to know that killing any human being is killing oneself.
