Niagara Falls

Last Sunday, I visited the falls in the city of Niagara Falls, Ontario, whose water movement is unparalleled on earth. I will leave out the exhaustion of the long route from my son’s house to the place. We set off on Saturday morning. We spent the rest of our day in the city of Toronto. We visited relatives of ours. We slept in the city. In the morning, we prayed at St. George Church in Richmond Hill. Father George Mokbel presided at the Divine Liturgy. Father Ibrahim Farah from Idleb and Deacon Nabil Salib from Egypt concelebrated with him. After lunch, we set off for our destination. When we arrived, we left our things at the hotel, and immediately headed to the falls. I cannot decide if the water was more abundant than the people who have flocked to the place from far and wide. What is the secret of this attraction to water? When I told Father Symeon Abou-Haidar that I was going to visit Niagara falls, he told me: "let go of what you know about the place. Stand there in front of the falls, and enjoy." Glory be to God, the Creator!
