“My Friend”

My wife was standing in front of the bookcase in our house. She asked me to help her find a book she had named to me. My eyes fell on Metropolitan George Khodr’s book: “This World is not Enough” (An-Nahar Publications 2006) in which he was interviewed by Samir Farhat. The book is not new to me. I have read it previously, once and twice, and I even wrote about it, once and twice. The book called me to grab it and take it with me. Nothing is sweeter than to sit down and have a conversation with Metropolitan George, from which you draw forth the gold coming out of his mouth. This is a “friend” for every day. With it, you can always learn new things. Few are the writers who break the barrier of time and space for you; who turn your weariness into relief; your hunger to feelings of satiety, and gratitude; who persuade you that “this world is not enough”. If you have not read the book, I recommend you do.
