Moses’ Heirs

Here, my answer was the same to any young brother who asked me for advice: take from this country what knowledge you think you are capable of or that which it offers you, and take its languages, for your own edification and the prosperity of a country that awaits you. Do not care for any other wealth that lures people. All of us, travelers, are Moses’ heirs! I am assuming that you are looking for a new provenance. Moses is like you. He was raised in Pharaoh’s palace. However, when he recalled his origin, his people and their problems became his palace! He joined them, and linked his own fate with theirs. This requires that you live in the foreign land with your people, trusting that you all have a standing appointment with the land of your country. The Bible says about Moses: “Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not dim…” (Deuteronomy 34: 7). Notice the words: “his eyes were not dim”. Man is an eye that does not grow weary of looking at God Who has commissioned us to keep in mind that we belong to Him in the place in which He has created us. Will we die, like Moses, before returning to our land? The important thing is that we live like him!
