Mary’s Face

Throughout its generations, humankind has known different criteria, all of which aim at seeking to know who the other human being really is. For example, there are philosophers who have set, as a criterion, knowledge of the books he reads and their types. The wise men also spoke of the criterion of friendship. “Evil company corrupts good habits” (tell me who are your friends, I will tell you who you are)… However, now I would like to establish a criterion, without which I do not see true humanity, and that is Mary’s face. “Tell me who Mary is to you, and I will tell you who you are”. I am speaking of this golden girl, as we have received her from the mouth of the Word, of Mary, "the Mother of my Lord," the Virgin, the servant, the obedient, the blessed, the steadfast in love to the end, the one who dwells in the company of the beloved disciple, the woman clothed with the sun whose Offspring fights the dragon with the commandments of God and the testimony of Truth… This is the criterion of the new Man.
