I woke up on Saturday morning repeating the expression: Look for “Saul” (Acts 9: 4). I know whom I am addressing. I am addressing brethren in the Orthodox Youth Movement (MJO) in Mount Lebanon who had invited me to participate in the evening opening of their annual conference. The opening program was faithful to our tradition, in prayers and in words. I was struck by Metropolitan Silouan Moussi’s word which we received on a screen as compensation for his absence due to travel. His Eminence spoke about the heart that grows with the love of the brethren and what they do in the Church, for the glory of God. This was preceded by two speeches, the first by the Secretary-General, Brother Elie El-Kebbé, who encouraged us to repent and unite, and the second by the president of the chapter, Sister Nada Wazen, who revealed the face of the Movement that thinks out loud. There remains “Saul”! The Movement is based on the commitment and the calling. There is a distant brother whom God is waiting for us to call to the life of kinship. This is not just for the assurance of vision, but for our salvation as well. This opening was an affirmation of the confidence that the Movement embraces the gifts and creativity of the Holy Spirit.
