Herod’s Fear

Notice these two pieces of news that were published by one of the news sites. The first: “The Israeli army: An Israeli female soldier from the Caracal battalion was seriously injured on the Egyptian border”. The second: “9,061 people, of which 3,760 are children, were killed as a result of the Israeli bombing of Gaza”. I am relating the two pieces of news as they were published. I am not saying that they are a battle statistic. We grew up, in this world, with the news that show life “on the other side” to be greater than on ours! I will let go of comparing between the two pieces of news. What concerns me now is the number of children who were killed by the fire of hatred in Gaza. Notice the number! What does Israel want from killing children? Is it to say that, by exterminating them, it will close “the Gaza issue”, both in the present and in the future? This is a strategic goal for it! However, another reason is seen in this crime. What is also seen is “Herod’s” fear of the “child”! Today, the children of Gaza are teaching Herod a lesson that fire does not always prevail over tenderness.
