Oh Jesus, O God Who holds the end in His hand. Today, we have concluded the first three days of the Great Week. Each day has brought us benefits based on action and its opposite. On Monday, we stood before the fruitful Joseph and the barren fig tree. On Tuesday, we faced the five wise and five foolish virgins. As for today, the sinful woman, who has earned Your favor with her perfume and tears, rebuked Judas who sold You for silver. Why did Your Church adopt these contradictions? The Great Week is not a literary endeavor but a revelation of the world as it truly is. The world consists of contradictions. “Who will deliver me from this body of death?”! The greatest thing about these days is that You are present in the action and its opposite; in barrenness, ignorance, and betrayal, You appear as a just ruler, and conversely, prevailing in love. Love, this is our driving force towards what is to come. As of today, every image and parable will fall away, so that Your love will rule the world. There is really no new life for us if we do not learn that You alone, yes alone, are everything.
