What is this fatal contradiction that is happening in Lebanon today? Life is fire, it is all fire, while most people are pieces of ice! Everything in Lebanon is ablaze. Potable water, in the country of water, is ablaze. The bread is ablaze; medicine; electricity... However, most of the Lebanese seem to deal with what is happening in their country as if it is happening in a faraway country. Citizenship in Lebanon is mostly resignation. I am not concealing my fear of what the poor and sick people are doing in our country today. How are they managing their affairs in this "fire" that is getting more intense every day? What are they eating? What are they drinking? How are they getting around?… I ask sadly and angrily. I reveal my fear for the country and its poor from the cold, from the ice, and from helplessness. How do we rise against this collective resignation? Lebanon consists of crises. However, the greatest crisis in it is our own coldness.
