Father Nader Salloum

Today, in our Church in Qsaibe, Deacon Nader Salloum received the blessing of the priesthood by the laying on of hands of the Metropolitan of Mount Lebanon, Silouan Moussi. The new priest will be assisting, in the service of the parish of Nativity of the Theotokos Church (Mansourieh), Father Younes Younes, who had abandoned the glory of the world, in order to devote himself to the service of God in this God-preserved expanse. What is expected of Father Younes as a gift to his new brother in this common ministry? There are several gifts, I will mention three of them: 1- The true priest is he who always lives as a brother to all people. 2-The God-given talents that we have are solely for serving God and His glory. 3- As for the third gift, it is that the Church of Mount Lebanon, in the ministry, is, for us, both a cradle and a grave. Then it is also expected that the new priest will present his first brother and his entire parish with many gifts, including that our Church is for the steadfast ministry and peace and for hooking the land, this land, into heaven. In the Mount Church, we have steadfast appointments with the increase of the fruit and of joy.
