Enough!

Most of those who deal with public affairs in our country today excel at one thing, namely, at offering you more and more poison every day. Every responsible person, having an iota of wisdom, if he thinks of developing himself in what he is doing, he will subject himself to criticism and evaluation. I do not think that there is a greater sign of failure in Lebanon than turning the human being in it into an immigrant, whether in his own country or outside his country! A whole country that was reduced to poverty, and that is looking outward in deed or in yearning, this, according to the laws of all the earth, is an explicit condemnation to those who are in charge of it. The wooden rhetoric does not establish a country. You say that politics in Lebanon is a theatrical play; then each of you asks the other to end the play. It will come to an end. What I sincerely hope for is that you will find someone to clap at the end. We have had enough of each one of you wanting good only for himself! Enough!
